Foam Equipment

Foam Top Pourers
Angus Foam Top Pourers are the latest in foam pourer (foam chamber) technology for protecting fixed-roof (cone) and internal floating roof storage tanks. Popular design features include a unique deflector plate that applies foam against the tank shell in a remarkable butterfly-shaped dispersion pattern, and an exclusive vapour seal arrangement that allows maintenance engineers to test foam systems without foam entering the storage tank.

Mex Bund Pourers
MEX Bund Pourers are designed to apply large quantities of free-flowing medium expansion foam into the bunded or dyked areas surrounding flammable liquid or hazardous chemical storage tanks. Their big advantage is they enable fire fighters to remain safely beyond the bund wall.

Angus Floatafoam Duo System
The Angus Floatafoam Duo System is a one-shot device that quickly detects and extinguishes small rimseal fires by discharging foam only into the affected area.

AF120 Mk2 Mobile Foam Unit

AF120 Mk2 Mobile Foam Unit

The AF120 Mk2 is a fully self-contained mobile foam unit specifically developed for the rapid deployment of foam extinguishing agent to fires and chemical spills. The AF120 Mk2 is ideal for the protection of smaller flammable liquid hazards such as boiler rooms, oil storage and loading terminals, paint or spirit stores, airfields, industrial sites, generator rooms and similar high risk areas.

Requiring only connection to suitable water supply, the standard unit comprises a 120 litre foam concentrate tank, Hi Combat IND225 inductor and F225/H low expansion foam branchpipe. Also two 15mm lengths of Dutch coiled 45mm Duraline fire hose, fitted with light alloy 2 ½” instantaneous couplings (other connections available to special order). A shut off ball valve is also fitted as standard to facilitate swift operation by one person. Can also be used with Angus Hi Combat MEX225 and MEX450 medium expansion foam branchpipes, which are particularly suitable for rapid intervention in cases where vapour suppression of chemical spills is necessary.

Anderson Medium Expansion (MEX) Pourers

Anderson Medium Expansion (MEX) Pourers

Anderson MEX Pourers are designed for rapid deployment of medium expansion foam in the event of a spillage or a fire in the bunded (dyked) region surrounding a bulk fuel storage tank. Their unique design allows fire fighters to carry them to the edge of the bund, and then leave them there to operate effectively without any further supervision.

Foam / Water Sprinklers K20, K40

Foam / Water Sprinklers K20, K40

Angus Foam / Water sprinklers are open air aspirating discharge heads designed for use as part of an engineered fire protection system. Each sprinkler is designed for mounting in the pendant position and produces a solid cone discharge with very similar spray patterns for both foam and water. The fire protection system can therefore be designed in accordance with NFPA11/16, to deliver an initial foam discharge to combat a flammable liquid fire, followed by a period of water discharge to provide additional cooling if required.

Hi-Combat Turbex Mk 2 High Expansion Foam Generator

Hi-Combat Turbex Mk 2 High Expansion Foam Generator

The Hi-Combat Turbex Mk2 produces huge volumes of high expansion foam that will rapidly search out and extinguish fires in enclosed and inaccessible areas (eg. basements, mines, tunnels, cable ducts and warehouses) with minimal water consumption and subsequent water damage. Powered by a water turbine and aerofoil fan, all that is required for operation is a pressurised water supply and Expandol high expansion foam concentrate. A unique water by-pass system allows performance to be maintained while working against high back pressures. Expendable polythene ducting is supplied with each unit for accurate foam delivery. It is also ideally suited for rapid smoke extraction and positive pressure ventilation.

Hi-Combat Mini Turbex High Expansion Foam Generator

Hi-Combat Mini Turbex High Expansion Foam Generator

The Hi-Combat Mini Turbex is a fast-response high expansion foam generator and smoke extractor. Rapidly deployed by one fire fighter, it gives valuable time to deploy the larger Hi-Combat Turbex Mk2. This equipment is supplemented by a complete locally manufactured range of A Class foam equipment ideal for use by rural and forestry brigades.

High Back Pressure Foam Generators

High Back Pressure Foam Generators

Angus High Back Pressure Generators (HBPG) produce expanded foam in base (sub-surface) injection systems which are primarily designed for the protection of fixed roof storage tanks containing hydrocarbon fuels. Models are available in sizes ranging from 225 LPM to 2250 LPM.

Low Expansion Foam Branchpipes

Low Expansion Foam Branchpipes

Low Expansion Foam Branchpipes combine optimum long-range throw performance with the capability to produce the highest quality, low expansion foam. Self-inducing models are supplied complete with foam pick-up tube and piercer.

Rimseal Pourers – Floating Roof Tank Protection

Rimseal Pourers – Floating Roof Tank Protection

Angus Rimseal Pourers are fully integrated foam generators and pourers that flood rimseal areas with stable and cohesive foam blankets. Their unique design shields the foam from wind and thermal updraught. Foam applied gently onto the inside walls of the tank fills the rimseal area even when the roof is in its lowest position.

Variable Foam Uniductors

Variable Foam Uniductors

Variable Foam Uniductors provide the simplest and most accurate means of inducing foam concentrate into the water stream. Operating on the Venturi Principle, foam concentrate is drawn in and mixed with the water stream to produce foam solution. For the first time ever the Uniductor can distinguish between standard and multi-purpose AR type foams. The foam pick-up rate is adjustable between 3%, 3%AR, 6% and 6%AR. A special energy recovery system limits pressure loss across the inductors to about 40% to retain maximum pressure for foam projection. Hi-Combat Foam Uniductors are designed to be matched to Hi Combat low and medium expansion Branchpipes for optimal performance.
